If you have severe pain in your mouth, swelling of the gums, increased sensitivity to hot or cold, or you’ve noticed a darkening tooth, these are all signs that your tooth’s pulp has become infected or is inflamed. Root canal therapy can save a tooth whose pulp is damaged before it’s too late.
When you come into our office, we will use the panoramic X-ray to look at what’s going on inside of your mouth and teeth. This way we can diagnose you and get you on the right path for treatment. One advantage of the panoramic X-ray is how simple it is. Unlike other X-rays where the film is placed inside the patient's mouth, the panoramic film is in a machine that moves around your head.
